Where is Los Flamingos, and how do you get there?

Los Flamingos places you amongst the most sought-after addresses on the Costa del Sol. All just minutes away.

Both of the international airports of Málaga or Gibraltar areless than an hour away from Los Flamingos. Take the A-7 tothe Cancelada exit between San Pedro de Alcantara and Estepona. The resort is a short drive (1.5 kilometres) from the exit.

From Los Flamingos, you are close to many beautiful towns and beaches. Or, widen your roving range and drive into the interior. Head east toward San Pedro andcatch the A397 north to the legendary mountains of Ronda.

When was Los Flamingos created?

This urbanization is rather young. Most of the development happened during the 2000s, as the three golf courses were being built. It began with Los Flamingos Golf Resort in 2001, followed by Alferini in 2007, and Tramores in 2010. Construction began on the famed Hotel Villa Padierna in 2003. Its Tuscan-palace look made it an instant attraction for celebrities and other lovers of luxury. The hotel’s owner, Ricardo Arranz, named the hotel after his wife and father-in-law, both of whom came from Spanish royalty. By the end of the decade, there already were 9 complexes with 563 apartments and 135 villas and villa plots. The resort’s reputation has been on the rise ever since.
