What TM did:

We were involved from the very beginning in the selection of a suitable plot to build a brand-new property. The client had very specific requirements, which it became clear could only be fulfilled by designing a property from scratch. The client was concerned about security, wanted sea views, and not to be surrounded by other properties. The ideal location was one which could provide a sense of space and peace, but was not too far away from the beach or local amenities.

After an exhaustive search, the client finally settled on the Marbella Club Golf Resort and, of the plots available, decided on one within walking distance to the clubhouse that had a great view of the Mediterranean Sea. After a tender process involving three different architects and building firms, the client chose Ark Architects of Sotogrande, as he preferred a fixed price and term contract and wanted to deal only with one company. We assisted with the negotiations with Ark regarding contracts and, once building work commenced, continued to assist throughout the build. Upon delivery, we helped organise the snagging process and remain the liaison point between the client and architects for any maintenance issues or other requests.

Villa Tranquilla: finishing the exterior 17-01-2017

With the structure of the property completed, work began on the exterior at the same time that the outdoor swimming pool was being constructed. This involved rendering and painting the facades, installing the doors and windows, building the terrace areas, and leveling the garden around the house for landscaping.

Villa Tranquilla: installing systems and fittings

With the structural work complete, the interiors were wired and plastered, before fitting the underfloor heating system and laying down the marble flooring. At the same time, decorative external woodwork was put into place and painted, prior to finishing and painting the rest of the villa.

Villa Tranquilla: building the structure

After completing excavation work on the plot, the foundation slab was poured in reinforced concrete and the structure of the house began to rise from floor to floor, giving an idea of the views the finished property would have over the golf course down to the sea.
