What TM did:
An existing client approached us to find a new modern property in a quality location, as their existing property was too small and far away from their child’s school. It was important that the property had views, was located in a secure area, and was close for school runs. We began our search in Guadalmina Baja and looked at El Madroñal, Los Arqueros, La Cerquilla, La Quinta, and the Golden Mile, before deciding upon Sierra Blanca as the desired destination. After an extensive search, it became clear that there was nothing suitable on the market, so we began to look at plots. It was important to the client that any land we looked at was not surrounded by empty plots, as the client did not wish to live on a building site.
Finally, we took the radical decision of purchasing a property to knock down and began a new build. This has fiscal benefits and allowed us to reposition the villa to take advantage of the views. We assisted the client with the selection of the architect and builder. We also recommended the use of an external project management company who meet with the architect on-site on a weekly basis to oversee quality control of the project. After a demolition license was obtained from Marbella Town Council, building work commenced.
