Sierra Blanca: the luxury resort in the hills above Marbella
The Sierra Blanca residential development holds a privileged position at the base of the mountain range of the same name, nestled some 300 metres above sea level and Marbella’s famous Golden Mile. This fantastic villa community offers splendid views across the Mediterranean to Africa and easy access to the resorts of Marbella and Puerto Banús.
The complex is located on the southwest face of La Concha (“The Seashell”), the 4,000-foot high shell-shaped mountain that forms part of the mountain range after which it was named when development began. This ideal location means that Sierra Blanca is protected from northerly winds as well as temperature extremes in both summer and winter.
A variety of well-known architects are responsible for the beautifully designed quality villas forming part of the community including Cesar de Leyva and Melvin Villaroel Rodan. Many streets are named after famous composers such as Calle Mozart, Calle Albinoni, Calle Wagner and Calle Sibelius. In terms of amenities Sierra Blanca is a 24-hour guarded and gated community that is just a 5-minute drive to the shops, marina, casino, movie theatres, and restaurants of Puerto Banús and a mere 2 minutes by car to Marbella centre, offering a vibrant cultural life on your doorstep. Naturally, one is spoiled for choice when it comes to outdoor activities including golf, horse-riding, tennis and much, much more.
While Marbella is arguably the European capital of residential tourism, the Costa del Sol as a whole is certainly the most important golf destination, with celebrated courses such as La Zagaleta, Valderrama, Las Brisas, Sotogrande Real Club de Golf, La Quinta, and many more. Whatever the fluctuations of the economy, golf, the sea, and exclusive living will remain the foundations of lasting value for Sierra Blanca and other residential areas in and around the Golden Mile.
